The Drama of a One Year old

You might never guess that my dear sweet Belle is a tad bit dramatic, so I thought I would share a story from this morning with you as it made me laugh quite hard while I got to watch the live version. Belle hates to have her diaper changed and always cries, yells and kicks her feet during the process. (She probably only does this for me and Dave and behaves for everyone else, that is her usual M.O.) Well, this morning I laid her down and she started with the usual fake tears and as I pull her pajama pants off, she covers each eye with one hand and kept them there the whole time. It was quite funny to see her lay there with this look of "oh, this is just so terrible" while the eyes stayed covered and the fake tears kept flowing. The best part was as soon as I stood her up and said "all done!" she ran off laughing. Sometimes (actually, quite often) she will lay down on the floor and bury her face into the carpet when she doesn't get her way. Many days I open the bathroom door to exit and there she is, laying there and crying with a face full of floor. Silly Drama Queen!

You are right---she only does this for you & Dave. She was good as gold when me & my girls changed her.

I especially enjoy thinking about her burying her face in the floor when she doesn't get her way. She definitely has inherited some of the drama genes.

Watch out Tori, you're about to be upstaged!
