Just Some Ramblings, I guess...

Since it has been a while since I last blogged, I figured I would write something tonight since Belle is in bed, Dave is at Band Practice and Aaron is "brushing" his teeth. (Which means a little brushing and a whole lot of playing with the water). Hmmmmm, let's see, where do I begin?

Dave's job- We are still waiting for an answer, but his boss did say that she is waiting till the end of the month to make the decision. She wants to make the "right" decision (duh, even I could tell her it would be Dave :)) since she has had 5 managers in 4 years at that shop. The good news is that there are several possibilities of other positions for him if this one doesn't work out and she has even offered to put it in writing that he will move up in the company. There are lots of things going on right now, but the company might actually be expanding and growing and so that is exciting! Please keep praying for him and us though, God is using this to teach us lots of things and I am seeing many prayers answered, things I have been praying about for years, months or just a few weeks. God is so faithful!!!

The Kids- Aaron is getting taller and smarter, as is Belle. She is all about walking now and is quite proud of herself for it too. She loves to put the phone up to her ear and "talk" on the phone. Aaron is into listening to "Frog and Toad" that we got from the Library and also "Thomas the Tank Engine" that my sister-in-law Jenn gave him for Christmas. He'll go up to his room and listen to them and then come down and "read" the stories to me. It's pretty funny since he has them pretty much memorized and even mimics the expressions from the narrator. I love him! :)

Us- Dave and I have recently realized we have gotten great at taking care of the kids, church, family, friends, work, etc..., basically everything except for each other! Part of the problem is that I am in the process of getting on the right brand/dosage of birth control and it makes me tired, moody and, as my husband was so kind to tell me the other night, "a little nuttier than usual". Seriously. Those were his words. Brave man!!!!! :) But we are on the path to correcting that, so life is good! I realized the other day that is has been quite a long time since we went away, just the two of us, so we are planning a wonderful weekend away in March. My sister has graciously agreed (heck, she even offered, and for those of you who know her, you know with her schedullt that is a MIRACLE!!!) to keep the kids and I found a nice little hotel in Williamsburg for us to spend the weekend relaxing, shopping, seeing some historical sights (Dave is more excited about that than I am- shocking!) and meals without any children! Woo hoo!!!! I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! It will be blissful!

Well, I need to go tuck my little man in and do devotions with him now. I was watching him walk around the house today and I just can't believe how big and grown up he is. It doesn't seem real that in just a few short months we'll officially be starting school with him. What happened to my baby?????? *Sniff* So sad! But he is sweet and loving, cute and funny, and just a wonderful little boy. His normal saying before he goes to bed is "when I have a bad dream I'll come get in bed with you" and a few times a week he does just that, minus the dream. This morning he was sleeping on my floor when I woke up around 6am, with no blanket or anything. Weirdo. It's always a mystery with us if he'll be on my side, Dave's side, in the middle of the bed, on our floor or in his bed when we wake up. I guess we'll just have to wait to see wha tomorrow brings :)

Good night to you all!

You're rambling blogs are always longer then your normal blogs, space them out woman!

Also, Dave was either a "brave man" as you say or a stupid man, I'm leaning on the second option! :)

Yeah, I guess it is miraculous that I had the very weekend free that you wanted to go away. See, they do happen! We are looking forward to having them. Hope you have your hotel booked! xoxo
